AER IntelAerTwin Help

Concept

One task at a time

AerTwin works on one task at a time, so finish or stop what you are doing before you start something else.

In short: finish a task with Save, Apply or Sign off, or stop it with Esc or Cancel. Then start the next task. Work that is not saved is not kept.

The toolbar tells you what your next click does

Section titled “The toolbar tells you what your next click does”

The toolbar along the bottom of the window has two halves, separated by a thin vertical line.

Left of the line Right of the line
Buttons Navigate, Measure, Advanced AI defects, Photos, Measurements, Instruments, Observations
What they control What your next click on the model does Which panel is open
A lit button means That tool is active That panel is open

When Navigate is lit, the mouse moves the view. When a tool is lit — for example Measure ▸ Distance — a click places a point instead, and dragging no longer turns the model. You can still zoom with the mouse wheel and pan with the arrow keys.

When you are… Finish with Stop with
Drawing an outline or a line Click the first point, press Enter or double-click Esc
Changing the shape of a saved finding Apply Cancel or Esc
Filling in a finding form Save Cancel
Reviewing AI proposals Sign off, Dismiss or Skip, one proposal at a time Leave review

Esc always takes one step back. Press it until Navigate is lit, and the mouse moves the view again.

  • Save before you close a form. Closing a form with Cancel, ✕ or Esc discards what you typed.
  • Save before you leave the structure. ‹ Projects leaves at once.
  • Undo puts your last change back. Press Ctrl+Z, or click Undo on the notice that appears. Undo works until you reload the page. See Undo and redo changes.
