Undo and redo changes
Take back a change you have just made — a deleted finding, an edit, a new outline, a filing — and redo it if you need to.
AerTwin keeps the last 25 of your changes in the browser tab, so that you can take them back. Every undo and redo is announced on a notice, so that you always know what it did.
To undo or redo
Section titled “To undo or redo”| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Undo your last change | Press Ctrl+Z |
| Redo it | Press Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z |
| Undo one particular change | Click Undo on the notice that appeared when you made it |
The keys undo the most recent change first. A notice’s Undo takes back the change that notice is about, even if you have made others since.
What you can undo
Section titled “What you can undo”- Creating, editing and deleting findings.
- Changing a saved outline with Apply.
- Filing findings in a group, taking them out of one, and creating, renaming or deleting a group.
- Clearing the filters, and Show N hidden.
- Placing and removing an instrument.
While you are drawing or shaping an outline, Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y undo and redo the changes to that outline only.
What undo does not do
Section titled “What undo does not do”- It does not survive a reload. The undo list is kept in the browser tab and is cleared when you reload the page or open another structure. Nothing saved is lost when that happens.
- It never gives back a sign-off. Undoing an edit to a signed-off finding restores its content, but the finding stays a draft until someone signs it off again.
- It never renumbers anything. A deleted finding that you restore keeps its number.
- It does not take back review decisions. To take back a sign-off or a dismissal, click Undo on the finding’s card. See Take back a review decision.
- It does not move the view, change a filter chip or fold a section. Click them again instead.
