Correct the outline of a proposal

Correcting an outline does not accept the proposal. You still sign it off, dismiss it or skip it afterwards.

To adjust the outline

Use this when the outline is in the right place but a few points are wrong.

1. During a review, in the Geometry row, click Edit shape.

2. Drag a point to move it, click the outline to add a point, or double-click a point to remove it.

3. Click Apply to write the corrected outline, or Cancel to put the original back.

   AerTwin measures the corrected outline again on the server.

4. Sign off, dismiss or skip the proposal.

To replace the outline with your own measurement

Use this when the outline cannot be rescued — for example, when points landed on the wrong surface.

1. During a review, in the Geometry row, click Replace geometry.

   The Measurement panel says: “Choose Distance, Area, Volume, 3D defect or Depth profile from the toolbar, then draw the replacement. The original stays saved until you use the new geometry.”

2. On the toolbar, click the tool, and then draw and finish the new measurement as usual.

   For a volume, a 3D defect or a depth profile, click the measure button in the panel.

3. In the Measurement panel, click the button that names the proposal — for example, “Use for OBS-123”.

   The proposal now carries your geometry and its figures.

4. Sign off, dismiss or skip the proposal.

To give up the replacement, click Cancel replacement. The original outline is unchanged.

Note

While an outline edit or a replacement is in progress, the review keys are paused, so that a letter cannot decide a proposal whose shape is not finished. Apply or cancel first.
